Arrival Day:
Upon your arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, our team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Dar es Salaam for check-in. Take the rest of the day to relax and prepare for your upcoming safari adventure to Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve).
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park
- After an early breakfast at your hotel in Dar es Salaam, you will be transferred to the domestic airport for your flight to Nyerere National Park.
- Upon arrival at the park’s airstrip, you will be greeted by our safari guide who will transfer you to your lodge or camp.
- Enjoy lunch at the lodge and some leisure time to settle in.
- In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Nyerere National Park, exploring the diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife.
- Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Nyerere National Park Exploration
- Wake up early for a sunrise game drive or boat safari along the Rufiji River, one of the main highlights of Nyerere National Park.
- After breakfast, continue your exploration of the park with a game drive or walking safari, accompanied by experienced guides who will share their knowledge of the area’s flora and fauna.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
- In the afternoon, head out for another game viewing activity, keeping an eye out for the Big Five and other wildlife species.
- Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Nyerere National Park Safari
- After breakfast, set out for a full day of game drives, exploring different areas of Nyerere National Park and searching for its diverse wildlife.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
- Continue your game drives, with opportunities to spot predators such as lions, leopards, and wild dogs, as well as a variety of birdlife and other animals.
- Return to your lodge or camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Nyerere National Park to Dar es Salaam – Departure
- After breakfast, depending on your departure time, you may have the opportunity for one last game drive or leisure time at the lodge.
- Enjoy lunch at the lodge before checking out and transferring to the park’s airstrip for your flight back to Dar es Salaam.
- Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, our team will transfer you to Julius Nyerere International Airport for your departure flight or to your hotel if you’re extending your stay in Tanzania.
Departure Day:
